Nikon D750 & D780

Probably going to move my 24-70 on when my second D750 comes through and move to a 35/85 Prime wedding setup ( I have a 50 and a 70-200 if needed). Need something to cover the wide end on the occasion that the 35 is not wide enough, don't want to spend a fortune but options seem to be.
18-35 F3.5-4.5
20 F1.8
24 F1.8/Sigma 24 F1.4
24-85
24-120 F4

Am I missing anything? It will most likely be used for a handful of group shots. I am leaning towards the 20 F1.8 or 24 F1.8 as it also could be used for some different wide environmental portraits, although the 24 is fairly close to the 35.

Correct Steve. These are from the walk through the pitch and putt course and you can see the beach in the distance.
Nice - I've played the course there a number of times, and have often thought about sledging down those things... they're massive!

They can be very fast when the sand is wind packed. My 9 year old daughter was standing up going down them today, Surf sledging. Are you local or just holiday down here?

Ha, brilliant!

"Grew up" in Cornwall - left in 2001 when I joined the Air Force, but my folks still live down there near St. Stephen so we go down there every few months. Would move back down there tomorrow if there was the work for us both. Will definitely be taking the little 'un down there a lot when he's a bit older to appreciate the beaches. Back down there again in June for another family wedding... looking forward to it! :D

I'm trying the 28/50/85 combo as well as the 24-70 to see what I prefer!

I have to say, the 85mm plus the 19-35 zoom pretty much covers my shooting. If I could get more than £100 for my Sigma 24-70 I would flog it - that's how little I use it, but it's simply not worth selling at the price I'd get for it :(

I just need to sell my Pentax and Mamiya gear instead!

I've never had to go wider than 35 for anything at a wedding, but paranoia still gets the better of me and I have to have something in the bag (to be fair I was basically back in a hedge for a group shot at a small church last year with the 35!)

My Fuji with 18-55 is in the bag this year just in case, also handy when a grumpy registrar bans ceremony pics, silent shutter fixes that issue!

Trying a 28/50/105 combo for the 3 weddings I have in the next 6 weeks, have a feeling I'll be back to 35/85 before I know it though!

Does anyone shoot JPEG in here was having a try with it today quite good tbh

Cleaned up this would be a brilliant shot. 16x9 crop to kill the main trunk and top branch and zap the little sticky out bit on the branch it's sat on, win.

Also, have you tried lifting the shadows? You might be surprised... ;)

It was a quick grab shot, got 5 or 6 rattled off and that was the last i saw of them all morning. I did try lifting the shadows etc but turns out there was a few blades of grass in the way too so it just highlights them.

I ordered the 20mm 1.8G changed it to the 24mm 1.8G now Ive Changed it to the 18-35mmG,I have till 9am to decide and Im still not sure,my heart says go with the zoom and my head says the 24.:help:

What's it for? Do you need the light gathering?

Nothing wrong with the jpegs, so long as you don't have large dynamic scene that requires shadow and/or highlight recovery. DRO can help with this to an extent.
