Nikon D750 & D780

Just seen the 70-200 f2.8 VRII now retails at £1799, why the large price increase?

Nikon said they were going to increase prices a while back.
But why, £250 is way more than inflation? :( Maybe I need to buy some more lenses before they go up in price too

Have the opportunity to buy a new D750 with 50mm 1.4 ART for £1500. Worth a punt? Seems like a good deal.

Grey D750 (£1200) and new UK 50 ART (£300)

Welcome back...

;)

Still got the X-T10 and a bunch of glass for all my personal stuff, using Nikon for weddings and work though.

I thought the UK sourced D750 was now just over the £1200 mark? If so, I'd pay the little extra. Mind you, you will probably get poor service and it will take longer to deliver when buying from the UK lol

£1385 is the cheapest UK price.

A new UK art for £300, doubt it.

Damaged box, but new lens, will test it tomorrow to make sure everything is ok...

Get a dock ordered, the reason that may be returned could be down to focus issues. Check lens and accessories very carefully.

It's open box but new (apparently), had loads of stuff from Warehouse before and they've always been good with descriptions. We will see!

Well I've had two recently and neither been accurate, however it's very easy to get a further discount on the item ;)

The dock will be a worthwhile addition.

Nice! I'm missing my 50mm, so will need to invest in another at some point when Im bored of lugging around the 24-70!

As a former Nikon shooter thinking of coming back (although not ditching what I use now) the biggest headache I have is with lenses for a D750. I still have a 50 1.8 and thinking perhaps the 20 1.8 and 85 1.8 might be good options? The other lens that seems a killer is the Sigma Art 35 1.4 - any views on this?

Sounds like a plan matey. :D

;) Still have your 50-140 and no plans to give that beauty up. Just that I've not been using the Fujis that much so may sell some stuff I'm not using to help fund a D750.

Did you ever get the Sigma Art 35 f1.4? Reviews always made it out to be a fantastic lens optically but maybe it's just me, I prefer to stick with Nikkor lenses...

Sigma 35 is THE lens for the money and FL imo.
