Nikon D750 & D780

Nice bit of sunshine around today so it was worth the effort to drive 2 minutes from mine to here ;)

Good to see the sun made an appearance at last this weekend! I was at a family wedding round the corner, at the Atlantic hotel - love Cornwall, every time we go back a part of me wishes I hadn't moved away. Will "emigrate" back there again one day. :)

Thanks Chris, for the 1st year that I returned to the UK when I was 19 I lived at Watergate Bay. Then the big move 6 miles to Pentire.
as you come down towards the righthand bend that takes you to the sea and on the right i think was the big hotel well we stayed in some flats that were on that bend within some trees,1973

As this thread is so good with screen protector advice, what's the 'go-to' arca compatible tripod ball head, if there is one? Cheers

Dropped my Macro lens at the weekend and now the aperture blades don't move, oops.

Repairable? It's a Tamron 90mm F2.8. Or a good excuse to buy the 105mm Nikon?

My Larmor top screen is a perfect fit...

Thanks @Gary Coyle i may take a punt on one.

It is? I must have had ones from a bad batch and the curved edged on the protector was more curved than the total size of the top screen :-(

But, hey they all do the same thing!

It's been recommended throughout the forum for a while and one I bought, very happy with it. Sunwayfoto DB44 ballhead > http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DEMO-SUNW...468314?hash=item3ab3bad21a:g:5UQAAOxyzi9SjGdD

They let them go for £120.00 as a best offer and for me they also chucked in a 50mm plate. I have bought longer plates from Amazon to go with the head.

TADA!

Ok, naughty pic for this thread I guess, as it obviously wasn't taken with the D750... but it is OF my new D750 :)

That works pretty well for me Paul, good use of the dish to kinda spotlight and bring attention to your new camera.(y)

George.

I have an AF-S TC-17E II incoming tomorrow... Now all i need is a camera.

That seems like a good move to me, I've never used a TC but believe the results can be excellent.(y)

Thanks George - that was the idea which kind of formed in my head and I'm pleased with how it turned out. I'm actually happier with the lighting on the mains head than I am of the camera to be honest, but obviously all would have been even better had I shot it with my D750 instead :)

After I bought them I showed the guy on the counter the price they where online, to say he was a bit shocked was an understatement :D

They normally don't even do camera stuff it's all crud like kids stuffed toys, handbags and hats.:D

Is the aperture lever bent?
I've straightened a couple up before on old manual lenses.
