Nikon D750 & D780

Lol you cheeky b****r lol

Anyone know how much the 35mm 1.4 sigma art are at the show??

Well that a relief you all forgotten. Phew

Anyone using a 14-24 with their D750? I've taken one decent photo with mine at 14mm since I got it in 2011, and the rest of the time it's mostly been used at 24mm - which is a bit pointless! I was in two minds about this lens or the 17-35 and I think I made the wrong choice (for me). I keep hoping that one day I'll find a real need for it. :$

Thoughts on the 45?

I really like the focal length, but it isn`t that fast to focus. About the same as the 50 1.4G, and way slower than the Sigma 35 Art. It`s a toughie tbh.

This is really great, wish I'd gone down now ;) Was there a specific backdrop, or just good timing to make it look as though they're walking through the death star?

Cheers mate :) I was in the right place at the right time. They were walking out of the hall, but I had anticipated crapola backgrounds and loaded the 85 up

Was there a good range of screen protectors to look at?

Hell yeah :D

Nikon nailed it on the promo stakes ... Giving away yellow tote bags, with "I`m with Nikon" printed on it. I would reckon 2 out of 3 people had one. Canon lost out

Not much happening here...I am in India now and I thought I'd have to go through 10-15 pages at least to catch up :D

Anyone here done star trials with their d750 yet

That looks excellent. How many images was that? You use PS to merge them?

It was 59 mins x 15sec exposures so 236 exposures. f2.8 ISO400. I would usually go with 30 secs ISO1600 f2.8 but this was taken with a quarter moon high in the sky behind my back (hence the light foreground) so everything has to bee dialed back. Download the free StarStax program and just drag the files into it then press the stax button and that's it done. Simple :)

That gone over my head with those figures 59 mins????

Ah thanks. I guess it a deck chair and flash of coffee job lol. You use remote cable do it?

Yes deckchair job, i can walk there in about 4 minutes from my house

Yes I use a remote release and just lock it on to keep taking exposures, you have to remember that most Nikons inc the D750 have a 100 shot limit. So as long as you unlock and relock the remote before the 100 shot count (you can do this in the middle of an exposure) then you can continually shoot as long as you want, without getting gaps in the star trails which ruin the session.

Cheers pal didn't even know it had 100 shot limit.

I think it only Olympus that as the live view for star trails and light painting that you can see what happening. Cool feature

My 750 is still in Liege awaiting next shipment according to TNT. Been there since 9.30pm on Sat night. Has it found the red light district and got lucky? I hope it bloody pulls out and heads this way soon, we are away for 3 nights over the weekend and then I am doing an engagement photo session for my brother in law on Tuesday.

Who did you buy it off?

Only use LiveView to zoom into a star to pinpoint focus. Use manual focus, then turn LiveView of as it eats batteries.

Panamoz. Hopefully it is just the TNT website not updating and it will arrive at my door tomorrow. Ordered last Wednesday afternoon.

You should deffo get it by tmr surely

Oh so u focus on star not the foreground

Am up at the lake this Easter weekend hoping get some shots

This, LV is a real killer. I took maybe 80 shots on one battery whilst in the Lake District...!

Bl--dy hell I've never used it much, mainly as said to manually focus in the dark. But 80 shots that's pathetic. The most I've got on 1 battery (D7000 same battery) was 3500 shots. Amazing. Absolutely no chimping though ;)

Yeah i shot about 2k on my D7k once and it had only lost one bar. The 750 can be quite good too when not dicking about with it. I remedied the issue by breaking the rear screen.

Did you break your screen?

No, just the power flex.

I was winding you up... Hope it doesn't cost too much and they try to con you. Think you said it was around £80? Hate it when things goes for repairs and they try and up the cost
