Rookies, why don't you do actual research rather than going on people's comments etc, not saying people are wrong but you went the Sony A7II direction then back again to Nikon D750 in a zippy.

If I was old from the start there can be slow it would of been easier.
Were not here to advise you about every minute detail of every lens ever made. Do some homework, youre paying for it.

Pack up your camera, head to the guys house who you were collecting from. Try out lens AF speed, if it plays nice, pay the guy some money and leave. If it doesn't apologise for wasting his time, don't give him any money and leave. Then if you're still without lens, pop to Jessops and pick up aforementioned Tamron 70-300.
Pick up camera and take photos (and share if you wish)
Do you buy a camera to gain 'membership' to the user forum to chat or to use it? What people say in here should be irrelevant to your choice/requirements. Do what Tim suggested.

That is exactly what you should do @rookies . Try and if you find issues, don't buy.
The other thing you can do is go to Jessops or Calumet and try te following lenses on your own D750 - Nikon 70-300, Tamron 70-300, Tamron 70-200 2.8 and Nikon 70-200 2.8.
If you like one and still not sure, go for a weekend rental and pay between £20-60 for the lens you want and then test it all weekend. Calumet has a nice policy, if you rent a lens and then buy the same new, they deduct either the whole or part of the rental. There is nothing to loose.

Nah mate, im from west Yorkshire but i work for Hope Construction Materials at their Dewsbury depot but i travel to the main works in Hope on a regular basis.

Mostly harmless banter in here, which is one of the reasons I like this thread.
Oh, and the fact that the D750 is such a good camera.
Especially when you put a lens on it and take pictures !!

Well, that's no excuse really.... if you want to take photos, go and take photos, not waste time wondering what your photos could look like if you had this or that lens...
For what it's worth, I have vision problems, and I don't waste any time taking photos...
