That's really good, I remember trying to do a self portrait and getting p'd off beyond words as I tried over and over to get the focus right....

That was the whole point of my earlier post [emoji2]You have a lens which is amazing [emoji13], just go around shoot some pictures and share here.Yup got that lens it a lovely lens really like it indeed... But it good if you can get close enough but when go to places where you can't get close enough that the reason i am looking for a longer lens..

Take a break and see what you are actually missing and what you want to shoot before deciding on a new lens.
Step back for a minute and have a nice time going to the zoo.But I am going to a Zoo on easter weekend and we both know the 24-85 won't be good enough for that so like be sorted for that really ...
DSC_0193-Edit.jpg by Andrew Rookes, on FlickrI had this when I swapped from my A77-II but you soon get used to it, and you also realise how much nicer it is to look through optics rather than looking at a tiny monitor. Don't get me wrong EVF's are excellent, and I've had some of the best, but after using OVF and then going back to EVF on my olly I was always a bit disappointed.I think I'm on a bit of a learning curve with this camera, having come from micro four thirds! It amazing how many menu options there are. I do like how easy it is to select focus points, change metering.
Feels strange not using an EVF where I could see if I was over or under exposing a shot through the viewfinder.
Yep they have a lot of benefits for sure, but I've come to prefer looking through optics, just a nicer user experience IMO.I used to love the evf, things like focus peaking were a wonderful addition which can only be achieved that way (currently)
