Nikon D750 & D780

If there`s anything specific you want mate, I can rattle off a few pix for you :)
Not really tbh. The obvious one is shots with people in them (and not necessarily wide open), but when I see buildings, trees etc they seem more dimensional somehow. Maybe it's in my head as I expect it to be better  But I'd always appreciate seeing some shots, cheers (y)

Get the 24-120 and a 35 1.8 prime if all you need is for walkabout and general shooting :)
Tbh I rarely use primes, I have the 50mm but it rarely gets used. I have the 12-40mm f2.8 on my EM5-II which is a perfect walkabout lens, but unless I need to travel light I much prefer using the D750. The 24-120mm is the obvious choice but I've always hankered after the 24-70mm, especially if Minnnt sells me his for £600 ;) I just have a feeling that if I got the 24-120 I'd still want the 24-70  :$

Ok mate, I`ll see what I can do :)

With regards to sharpness etc. Not really looked into micro contrast and what not as I'm a PP tinkerer so most images look b****r all like when i shot them after I've frigged about with 'em for about 3 hours in Lr.

The only thing that put me off the 24-120 was the fact it extended as it zoomed. The 24-70 does but it is contained within the hood. It's also better built and weather sealed.

Pick up a 24-120 for £400, use it then if you want to upgrade pick up a 24-70 and sell the 24-120.

I had the 24-120 briefly and it was nice and sharp across the range and the VR made up for not being 2.8

Keep giving serious consideration to selling all of my Olly gear (EM5-II, 12-40mm f2.8, 45mm f1.8, 40-150mm cheap version) and buying a 24-120mm for the D750 and then buying a G7x for travel (G7x better spec than the similar priced Sony RX100-II). Just can't decide whether the G7x is good enough for me or whether I'd miss the EM5 :banghead:

You be fine at deciding as your nothing like me:);)

It`s never easy is it ;)

I spent over two hours last night deciding on a pair of boots ffs

That's about how long it takes me to order off a restaurant menu!

But at least you can have a beer whilst deciding ;)

Great pics.

wow that's a sharp 70-200mm piece of glass David, fantastic set of images...! Is your 70-200mm the Mk1 or Mk2..? What's the difference between the two anyway?

pete

This was taken with the 24-120... shot at f4.
I have both the 24-120 f4 and the Tamron 24-70 f2.8 VC... I like both, however I think the 24-120 works best in better light. Not as heavy as the 24-70.

Absolutely fricken awesome Adam. Hope you're well, you've been quiet of late! Gorgeous light. Exactly like the UK...
Cheers David. I've been lurking the board but haven't posted much recently due to a hectic Dec/Jan.

I thought I'd struggle more with the light than I did to be honest. Struggled more avoiding overzealous marshals who tried (but failed) to kick me out :D
