Am i right in saying the siggy 85 has no weather sealing? Its something that concerns us about their primes - uk/irish weather is pretty unkind.
Looking forward to giving the Tamron 70-300 a work out tomorrow at Donnington Park. Suits the D750 well.
One more from the other day

Trying out Tamron 70-300 VC by Simon Rees, on FlickrYes that's the case Deci. I've never seen anything to demonstrate how effective the small slither of rubber is around the lens mount? Do your cameras get quite wet at times?
That was just a part of the issue apparently. Issues with decentring/vc not activating/front focus to name a few.
Mines also spot on. Even at 200mm it's stupidly sharp. I guess it's like the sigma lottery.
Could be but 4 out of 6, actually 5 when you consider it didn't work properly with 2 D750s is seriously bad odds
Won't be buying another as the hassle isn't worth it
Back to Nikon it is
It was the Tarmon he was commenting on, but I guess they do tend to be tarred by the same brush

Agreed, panning is something ive never got the hang ofVery nice pan shots![]()

Bigger difference how?It felt like I'd never done it before tbh. Meh. Can't decide if I'm pleased with the results or not.
Still got loads to go through though so may be I'll be a bit happier then.
Was expecting a bigger difference between shooting with my old Fuji X-T1 and the new D750 but in all honesty i kinda prefered the Fuji experience.
Strange.

Sorry, what I referring to was when you said you thought there'd be a bigger difference between the D750 and Fuji so I was wondering in what way, AF ability, IQ etc?Not sure. It's probably just (most definately) user error.
I knew what i was doing with the Fooj.
I tried all the focusing modes and settings and couldn't find one that i liked best. They all just seemed to do the same. I was pushing the limit of shutter speeds though so i guess it's me rather than the camera.
AF-C of the D750 should be in a different league to the Fuji so am guessing it's just a case of being familiar with on and not the otherAnd yes, AF wise.
Which Fuji? On saying that I'm not aware of any Fuji's AF-C that can truly match a good DSLR, let alone the D750Fuji's AF-C was awesome tbh.
TBH it sounds like a 'technique' issue rather than AF. At 1/15 I would have thought your biggest reason for low keeper rate is motion blur. At 1/15 you'd have to have no vertical movement of any kind, no front back swaying of any kind, and would have to match the vehicle's speed 100%. The reason you might have had better keeper rate with the Fuji is that it's lighter and you might have steadied it better.X-T1 and 50-140 f2.8
D750 and Tamron 70-300 vc.
Maybe i was expecting to get more keepers or be able to push the boundaries more with slower pans etc. The shot above at 1/15 was with the 24-70 so maybe it's just a lens issue? I think it's my techhnique though. I did feel very comfortable with the Fooj.
Nope as the aperture is wide open when focusing and only stops down when you press the shutter.Thanks. Would the aperture of the lens make a difference if it's stepped down to f22?
