Nikon D750 & D780

Also my least favourite (though I was alone), 50 is my favourite. Just not used the 28mm much.

35mm still my fave at the moment.

Think I'm going to pick up the 150-600 Sigma soon, but that's for me, as opposed to wedding work.

Have a serious temptation to pick up the 105 F1.4 for weddings though..

Was away for a while due to personal reasons. Hoping to get back to photography soon.

Great to see some new D750 members and those who returned to the dark side. Some are on the fence still.:D I am guessing JJ bought and sold a million lens while I was away :p.

Love the 85 1.8G, my only prime lens.
The 24-85 VR is my go to general purpose and travel lens.
70-200 2.8 - Awesome

Yes and no!

Still got my 28/50 & 70-200 F4 but considering a 24-85 or Tamron 28-75.

Ok, first annoying thing that I can't figure out with the menus in the D750... on my D7000 and D700 after taking a photo and while viewing it on the back lcd I can press "up" on the multi selector dial and view a small histogram in the upper right and pertinent photo info in the bottom half of the back lcd. How do I get the D750 to do that?

How did you manage to take that without the LCD freezing in the vacuum of space?

Special Guardians of the Galaxy mask, I borrowed ;)

The need for high ISO I can understand.

The urge for shallow dof baffles me.

I'm changing my signature to f8 and be there. :D
Then buy yourself an MFT setup :p

Question for you 50mm users - went out with mine last night and my mate has the 1.4g on his D810.

The 1.8g is just so much quicker when you focus from near to far or far to near etc. I'm guessing this is because its 1.4 vs 1.8? This was the case on both bodies. The 1.4g is a little bit heavier but other than that they are pretty much identical. I have read that the 1.4g is better built, but TBH they felt the same. Both have nice firm focus ring and both have the usual slight rattles when lightly shaken (not that you should shake your lenses!)

I'm just more interested in what makes 1.8 focus quicker than 1.4?
Two things spring to mind. Bigger heavier glass to move and shallow DOF making focus more tricky.

I've got a 85mm 1.8G and it's a great lens. Super sharp from close up to infinity! Only problem for me is that it is a bit too long for indoor has my house has small rooms so i bought a sigma 50mm 1.4 and this too is lovely! Super sharp and close focus. Since i've not take out the 85mm.

Came across a good deal so picked up a 50 1.8g tonight, the D750 feels lovely with one attached.

I find it pretty good wide open too! Did some horse shots with it and was excellent IMO!
