Nikon D750 & D780

Lol is it really that bad? I'm going to a couple of weddings this year (as a guest), maybe I shouldn't have just put my Olympus gear up for sale after all (y)

Just pre-focus and use the Mirror Lock Up (MUP) that pretty much eliminates most of the noise.

But I like my shallow DOF which makes pre-focussing a little tricky. Not the end of the world if I don't get pics though, I'm only a guest ;)

Are warrantys from Panomaz automatic or do you need to register your camera?

Automatic I hope. As I recall they used to put a business card in with a ref number hand written on the back, but now its all recorded at their end.

Just getting to grips with my new D750, haven't really used it in anger yet.. not sure what the protocol is in this thread on mass uploads but you're getting them anyway :)

Still amazed at the level of detail in your shots.
24-85 again? Oh, and a very nice mono conversion too.

Thanks. It is the 24-85 VR handheld. I have noticed that for shots with a lot of detail to capture, I want to keep the min shutter speed handheld at 1/15. For other shots, even 1/4 or 1/2 works.

Nice shots. Are these HDR?
Thanks. Not HDR, First basic processing in LR and then finalised the jpeg in CNX2.

Thanks, it's a cool look that you've got in PP (y)

My dream lens. It's just so heavy, that's why I haven't bought one.
(If I keep saying this, one day I may believe myself !)
That's a good price for a VR2 though.
My dream lens too and a good price when compared to new. I handled it and it is too heavy and a highly specialised lens.

Not sure what they are, but taken today with my 750 and my old 80-200 f2.8.

I follow a channel on youtube for mostly portraits and natural light shots by a British tog Mark and his muse lovely Imogen.
Saw their recent video on GAS and thought of sharing it here for those who are suffering from it :D

I actually got a phone call today regarding the recall. Very nice guy, but limited in what he could say ;) Seems it`s a just to be on the safe side recall for the most part. Also got an email with some timings for those interested ...

After you register your camera in relation to the recent Service Advisory, you will need to wait up to 3 weeks for the Service Centre to send you another email with notification that we are ready to repair your D750, containing the postage label. This delay is due to spare part availability and increased workload of the service centre. Then the repair itself will take another 2 weeks.

Please note that the repair can be performed at any time, even out of warranty, if it is not convenient for you to send it in at the moment - the postage label does not expire.

Thanks for the info. 2 weeks

I still have the notification from months ago that the parts for my repair were in, wonder if they still have them?

Yeah tell me about it ... I guess there`s gonna be a rush on again, same as the flare issue.

Bloody hell, they`re huge!
I still want to find some that are relatively local to me, as I reckon they can be pretty good for shooting.

So, although the rally was the main point of the trip, this was a little added bonus. ;) A mad scramble and climb UP the side of Cwm Cau due to not being able to locate the path in total darkness which caused near death, twice, lead us to this stunning view. It was pretty special!
