Nikon D750 & D780

Just bounce the light, Toby.

Andy, did you notice any difference between the two lenses?
Thanks. I don't find that I get quite as good results as that with bounced tbh, although never tried bounced with a reflector. Not sure if that'd work? Our house is really bad for natural light too :(

Directly in front, with the reflector at a 45 degree angle leaning up against the light stand, so you're shooting through the gap between the softbox and the reflector
Thanks :)

See @Sir SR 's bounced flash shots... Admitadley bouncing is sometimes not as nice as a well executed softbox//umbrella shot but if you're short on time and space it's a good work around.

And yes, that is me.

Surprised there hasn't been much chat about the upcoming Tamron 85mm F1.8 VC that is soon to be released. Anyone fancy one?

Yep I use bounce more often than anything else for that very reason ;)

Depends on price and quality.

This you mean? What's the other one?

Any suggestions for a 10-stop filter? For use on a 24-70 F2.8?

I know Lee are good, but they are expensive!

I got a cheap screw on one for the 24, think the brand was xsource. Not really had a chance to use it though

Haida is also good

Well my GAS is cured for a little while, as I just acquired a new printer :D

I need a new printer. Thinking of a canon pro 1

My daughter was unwell for a couple of days. She is better now and asked me if she can pose for daddy. How could I refuse? Bad weather outside, but a quick one indoors was enough to bring some smile.

Brilliant picture wishes my 5 year old would pose properly lol. Did you take that through a plant or something??

Bought one of these for £23. Very impressed, little colour cast that just requires some desaturation of the purple channel. I've gone off SRB due to their colour cast, even my 3 stop N grad is starting to get a strong blue cast.

Canon Pixma Pro 100s is a much cheaper option. It's what I bought and I'm very happy with the results, more than adequate for home use. Get used to soft proofing your images though, bit of a ballache/nigh on impossible if you want to get your prints to match your screen perfectly, but at least with soft proofing it's pretty damn close (was a lengthy discussion on AVF about this). Of course, you need your screen calibrated properly first ;)

I can understand not wanting to purchase the more expensive ones, I bought 6 and 10 stop hitech firecrest filters and nearly had to remortgage the house! I struggled with the colour cast of the older hitechs hence paying a bit extra for no colourcast. If there are cheaper brand out there that are good it's worth going with them.

She will do, but you need to work with her :). You are right about the plant .

Never easy with a poorly kid. Glad she`s on the mend mate. Mine is 15 now and it`s nigh on impossible to get a decent photo of her.
Lovely image

Lovely image (y)
Thanks Paul. I used to get frustrated to take images of her, but realised late that you have to become a kid and understand them and wait for the opportunity. It is still hard work :(

Shame they're at F4... ;)

Daryl, love the light on the tracks.
Cheers David, was a bit peed off yesterday, train was delayed from Marloie to Brussels so got no time in Brussels, but managed to get that shot at the station so I am happy :-)
