Anyone heard if a replacement for the D7100 is imminent? I have been waiting for the arrival of this camera in order for prices to drop on the 7100 in order for me to be able to afford one, however seeing a low count (276) body for sale on here for £560 which I missed, makes me wonder if I should try and pick up a similarly priced used body.

I saw that 7100 too and thought ooh maybe upgrade the D7000 I have and then went off to research whether it would be a good upgrade..An then got distracted by damn work

Yes, you can wait for some mythical replacement for the D7100, or you can wake up, and buy a second user, low shuttercount, D7100
and start taking some astonishing images with it !
Expect to pay between £500 and £600 for a low count, mint body : Just do it - You won't regret it !! :)

Or wait for the D400 that is DEFINATELY coming out.................... soon................... ish...................

;)

My D300 was and still is a great camera
I bought a D7100 and now use it as my main camera

If the size, build, feel and UI of a new D400 was the same as the D300 I would get one tomorrow and sell the D7100
I much prefer the user interface of the D300 to the D7100 …….. and would be happy with a 16 meg sensors in a D400 plus good high ISO performance

the d7100 has only been out a little over a year. id guess its going to remain on sale a similar length of time as the d7000 which was out 2 1/2 years before it was replaced...

*IF* they release one I dount it will be until the end of the summer at the latest.

I would expect it to borrow the GPS, WIFI and Expeed 4 off the 5300 and the usual token upgrades such as slightly improved sensor and MP count. Hopefully they will increase the buffer this time round ;)

What would you call a low shutter count?
