Need a little help please. I am now a Fuji user but was currently Nikon. Friend has a D7200 and I am confused by the auto iso sensitivity settings. Auto ISO on, min sensitivity 100 iso with the choice of all iso's available but the Maximum sensitivity only allows 25600 with none of the other iso speeds showing. Am I doing something wrong??
TIA

I don't have the same body but on all mines, I set lowest and highest
ISO, the min SS AND set M mode. HTH, Nick.

I have had a play with d7000, 7100 and 7200.

What you say sounds wrong.

I'm sure I could set 100 - 3200 if I choose for example.

Isnt the default setting 100 - 6400.

I cant remember but what you say sounds wrong to me.

Not sure what you mean by min iso sensitivity as as far as I know there isn’t a minimum iso setting on auto iso just a maximum iso setting. On the menu the top option is the ISO setting (just the standard fixed iso setting if you are not using auto iso- when using auto iso the cameras base iso is automatically the minimum iso). The auto iso on/off selection is next, then the maximum sensitivity (grey out until auto iso is turned on), then miminum shutter speed option.

When you say maximum iso only allows 25600 are you going into the list of Iso value with auto iso on?

The instructions in the manual are:

All Photos-904 by -Rob - Nikon-

If it’s not allowing you to select a different iso the only thing I can think of is doing a factory reset of the setting. Is there a lens attached? Could it be an older lens without a cpu chip that’s stopping iso being changed?

On the screen where it shows maximum sensitivity as 25600 scroll UP - the full range is there, just the maximum is set to the max so the lower values are not displayed.

Sorry for the late reply, iMac decided to have an afternoon of locking up, so there's another issue . Thanks for the info and it makes more sense now. Will have to have another play when I meet up with friend soon.
