Hello people!

A friend of mine works for a Comet and they have been told they can not buy any more D5100s from Nikon and the same for the D7000s in few weeks, the prices seem to have been slashed on the net to.

Does this mean that they are going to be released before Christmas?

Does anyone no anything I cant find on the internet?

As im looking to buy one of them :lol:

I think that may be wishful thinking, possibly q1 next year but even so, I would of expected to of seen some rumours by now.
 
Nope, just means that comet has cut the stock of them so they are listed as N on their oracle system. They can't discount them in stores yet as thats R-D-J listed items instead with upto 30% discount on each of those. Sadly for the guy in comet, you can't base their stock system on whats happening in the market as the company is struggling and their stock base is shrinking daily.

I use to work there for roughly 6 years from the warehouse to a sales manager btw :P
 
I really wish they would just do away with the stepping stone system they think they have. How many buy a D3100, then move to a D5100, then D7000 then D700?? Not many. One "entry level" is enough, pickone, go with it, step to FX when you can. There's so little between all the DX models it's completely pointless.

Got a D3000/3100? don't even look at the 5*** models. waste of space andtime they really are.
 
Rumours are rife as an Australian retailer has marked the D7000 as "no longer available" others say that it the d7100 with be unveiled in Japan soon. :-)
