Nikon D70s - Random image problem

I was on a shoot in London today and my camera randomly produced this image. This is straight from the camera. Any ideas why this may have occurred? The images before and after this came out fine with no problems at all.

sorry cant help with the why ,, but i like it !
 
what mode did you take it in, was it in colour or some funky retro setting ( although i am not sure if the d70 has that)
 
Strange one, looks almost like pop art, dont know what might have caused it though.
 
Put it down to the temperature!
I would suggest that you suffered a glitch at the anlaogue to digital conversion stage and only the Green info was processed.
 
Same thing happen to me, pics started to go funny every now and again then all of the sudden the camera stopped working and the little green light started to flash all the time, Nikon know of a fault with the camera what is called the green light of death (GLOD) and yes it is as bad as it sounds, cost me £180 to get fixed
