To all my fellow d7000 owners. Wanted to know how many of you actually make use of the custom U1 and U2 modes. If you use them, what are your settings?

I set one for portrait mode, so spot metering/centre focussing and a reasonable ISO.

The other is set to a "quick snap" setting just in case something amazing happens and I don't want to miss it - so highish ISO, AF-C, 3D focussing and area metering.

Up to you really!

I've got one set up for indoor, low light social shooting on aperture priority with Auto ISO: min shutter speed 1/160 and max ISO 6400.

The other I keep changing but currently it's set up for when I whack on the 70-300 and need to shoot quickly: shutter priority, 1/400 shutter speed and ISO set at 400 (Easy ISO so can be whacked up quickly).

Keep meaning to set them up.
If I did, I'm sure I would forget they were there and what each was for anyway

D in W.....forgetful

When I first got hold of the D7000 this was one of the features that made me say "yeah, cool". Did I ever end up using them? Nope.

Just my thoughts exactly, I assumed this would be such a cool feature to store custom settings in, but practically I am yet to use this feature.
