Nikon D7000 or D7100

(y) It has been a while, I decided that the money was going to buy a watch, but then after a few months looking I decided I would have more fun with a new camera body, instead of £2k of metal on my wrist, so treated the kids to a rabbit and Xbox One and myself to a few gadgets along the way.

I understand the points on better glass, but having the onboard focus screw this will allow in time to buy better, a little cheaper than shelling out for AF-S versions

I mean it's only been 9 months since you were thinking about it

Just what I was thinking. Deliberate for 9 months, then want it NOW! :)

it was more like a week or two, when i decided the D7100 would be the one for me, but like i said above, decided to buy a watch instead and after months of looking to find a watch i didn't feel the needed to have such a thing on my wrist, risking scratching it etc even though the money was gifted to me by my late granddad and i felt i wanted to buy something significant with it.

I placed an order for my D7100 yesterday through hdew cameras, 610 for a new body and their 3 year warranty made me finally decide to go for it. I had a D5100 (sold it now) and mainly shoot motorsport, so the better AF-S of D7100 made it a no brainer for me going for the D7000. I was actually thinking for some time to sell the D5100 and get a good used D300, which should go for approx the same price, but finally decided for the D7100.
Now waiting for the delivery!

Your Grandpa would have much preferred you spend the money on a cheap hooker than a camera

Since my granddad was more in to photography & star gazing than hookers, i beg to differ on that one, but thanks for your worldly input;)

It didn't take too long to arrive and now the proud owner of my new D7100 and took delivery of my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 at the weekend too

Well happy with both
