NIKON D60

hi everyone i'm thinking of buying a nikon D60 for my first slr im just wondering what you all think of the camera.
i currently have a kodak z710 and i have seem to hit the limit with the photos i want to take(macro) here are a coulpe of the pictues i have taken

Im new to photography and bought my first DSLR a week or so ago, the Nikon D60, and love it.

Its quite simple to use and navigate round and plently good enough quality for a newbie like me
I bought the instruction DVD and that has been a godsend and really helped me

I think you'll get a mixed response about the Nikons as some people prefer Canons, others swear by the Nikons :shrug:

I have one and I bloody love it

Excellent picture quality, and frankly you give up nothing image quality wise to any of the more expensive ones (D80, D200, D300) - better high ISO performance than the D80 and D200, and better low ISO performance than the D300. Its tack sharp too.

In some ways my D60 has better image quality than my D700!

D60 is an excellent camera.

Dont forget that if you want to take macro shots with it you will need a proper macro lens (or at least extension tubes on a 50mmor similar).
