I want to buy a book on how to use my D60 to its fullest potential. I was looking at D60 for dummies but the description on waterstones website made it out to be no more than a expensive colour Manual anyone got a suggestion. I want a book that will sort of give me tasks to do at the end of each chapter.

Suggestions appreciated

I'd really just suggest sticking it in 'M' and then spend a few hours messing with all the different buttons and menu settings, while keeping your manual at hand as a resource to explain them. Once you've done that then get out just set up little shoots wherever you are such as at your desk, in the park, anywhere. Test out the same shot with variations high apertures, then low. Fast shutter speeds then slow. Low ISO settings then high.

The rest you work out creatively with your imagination. Then maybe do a few of these to help you with some of the fundamentals. They're not inspirational but they'll help you learn some of the basics, in small, bite-sized chunks.
