Im looking for a new lens, I have a tamron 18-270 pzd but I really need a wide lens to get all the night sky in shot. Any recommendations? And how much more will it capture of the sky?
 
I've just bought a Nikon d5100 and Sigma 10mm diagonal fisheye. It gets about half to two thirds of the sky. I took the ISS on Sunday night, and its quite fast for astro work, but obviously quite a quirky thing for normal use. For Astro the lens and camera need to be in manual, and I had to go back inside to get a torch to check this.
