Nikon D40 query.

When i have been to photo studios they have the cameras connected to external screens. They can look at the pictures on a big screen, as soon as they have taken them.
Can i do this on my Nikon D40 and my Dell Laptop??

yes im pretty sure you can. i know you can do it with canons

do you have remote shooting software that came with the camera? normally you just plug your cam in and you can shoot away and they visible on screen.

The D200 has a video out socket on it that you can just plug into a AV input on a TV not sure about the D40 but have a look in the manual for AV socket.

Nikon Camera Control Pro software allows you to shoot tethered with the Nikon D40. There other ways of doing this if you google:

Random my tutor was doing that the other day with his 40D

when in my attick studio i shoot tethered so i can see if focus has been obtained, dont trust my 400D screen.

All you should need is a usb cable, camera control pro, and a computer.
This will allow you to shoot tethered, control the camera from the computer etc.
