NIKON D4 announced

Probably jinxed my chances, but I started the Z tonight. Just to make sure the battery wasn't flat. :naughty:

Where/who did the email come from? Is there a name on it as I have said and said we had nothing from them .

Actually the hosepipe an does not apply to cleaning your patio or drive. It's a H&S 'issue' if you THINK it is slippery and poses a danger.

Look it up.
 
Well if Gray's last allocation of D800's amounted to 6 with a total order of 300+ to fulfil (their figures) we're going to be hearing of problems for some considerable time!
 
Its going to be an interesting week on the d4 front with who gets theirs first, can see a few teddies been chucked out of the cots:D

Not this year, depending on your provider, they've closed that off in the small print for non-commercial uses. :(
 
Ah I see.

I was going on what I had seen on the news. So just looked it up for Thames Water & you are correct.

Just corrected my number on their site just in case. Spoke to them an hour ago on the D4 they say they still don't know when they are getting any. Fab.

It's ok. I've put the cover back on the Z. :( I may find time to just take it out for a thrash this weekend anyway. :D

Just to cheer us all up a bit more, there are reports that the latest shipments don't contain the XQD card and reader anymore. Looks like we may have missed out on that too!

I'm sure I read the XQD thing was on until end of May. That's a b****r if it's already ending :(
 
They can keep the XQD if they get me a camera out sometime soon.

Im getting fed up over something I dont need - more hassle than its worth.
 
I spoke with nikon a couple of weeks ago regarding the card & reader and they sad it was not restricted to a date but a "batch".

Well if you have a D4 then it is a fact of life for the length of time you have it/them. You can't swap out the housing so most people (or at least those who use the twin slots for backup - as I and many others do) are going to be using them with or without choice.

FWIW - they might be new, and they might only be produced by Sony at the moment - but the cards are easy to handle, robust, and most importantly fast. I for one hope they make it into other Nikon models, and I suspect they'll be in the higher end Sony bodies soon also.

I agree. I absolutely love the XQD card both in terms of size and build ad most importantly, speed. They are lightening fast, and will only get faster. I really hope other manufacturers jump on board and we see this format becoming the norm in the future!

Afew average speed camera's on M1 j28 down to j25 but other than that put your foot down to where ever your going :)
