Nikon D3s 130 shots in less than 12 seconds

WOW!

That was pretty amazing I must admit, thanks for sharing! (and making me want one more )

Some people worry about shutter count you know. :suspect:

Some people say about the Stig that his heart ticks like a watch, and that he’s confused by stairs... and some say he is illegal in 17 US states, and he blinks horizontally...

Others say that the D3s is good for 300,000 shots before being worried

I just spat tea over myself reading that lol

Lol. I have to say, I do love the sound of mine when on ch. :)

Awesome - I want one.... in fact, I want two so I can do one with each hand...

mmmmm that should be my next video when I get back in to work, oh wait that would mean wasting 130 shots on the display D3s...

Ah well

That's pretty insane!

Wait until my video inspired from DekHog, 260 shots in less than 12 seconds, comes out :naughty:

130 shots in 12 secs? You don't need to get a D3s... get a video camera!

 There was a vid already done about the speed of the shutter - it would've saved you putting 260 on yours

Ah but not two with both crop and full frame in the same environment

Leave me alone I was having fun

 It was with two cameras a FX & DX & both were Nikons  :coat: :exit:

I what a noise. I'm going to have to sell something to get one of those one day. Maybe my kidney.

Did you check the link? People shooting video on a D3 using continuous jpeg shooting. Now that's somewhat cool.

decades... centuries...

Not at all. One day my D2Xes were worth the best part of £2K each. The next they were "worth" a few hundred. That's what the D3 (and actually the D300) did. D4 could do the same...

I think the sound of that reminds me of my wife's sewing machine... :D :exit:

Indeed! I was being silly :D The time lapse on steroids is something I would not mind trying at big bursts, each run at 130 shots then a 4-6 sec interval until the next burst is available. Only thing is that really would take some shutter count to do it. As it would have to be 20 seconds plus to get someone involved. Not to say I have ruled it out! That is until I have something like extreme sports to test it on!

PS will travel ;)

Yes the D3s will drop by quite a bit. I'd say they can be picked up sometime in 2016 for about £500 on EBay, or from the pub down the road from a skinny guy who looks like he could talk you through the finer points of street heroine addiction. He'd had got it from a camera shop that does not keep an eye on it's stock! :naughty: I'm forever slumming it in the pub down the road from Jacobs

I really need to do the same test with the F4, that would let you know what a sewing machine impression really is!
