Nikon D3s £990 :)

My tongue was very firmly in my cheek. Sorry it wasn't obvious enough.

:bang:

Come on, you should know better that this is a load of bogus.

I think he does and hence the  smiley

I can think of a few peeps who'd pay a grand cash, so as not to be traced, and wouldn't give a damn stolen or not ;)

Listings with just the specs lifted from the manufacturer always = scam on Gumtree. ALWAYS.

hmmmmmmmmmm......

Certainly does look a tad iffy doesn't it............. BNIB and as mentioned no stickers........(not that i would know where Nikon stickers go on a box!)

Seems too "all there" to be nicked - unless a camera shop got done over........ (lets face it, whats the first thing you do with a new camera when you get it..... play with it! )

so does it not actually exist, you turn up with 50 x £20 notes and all of a sudden a baseball bat around the back of the head, and yuo wake up later £1000 down, or what?

Seems like gumtree, craigslist, eay, 2ndhandland, cashconverters etc etc... are just outlets to front nicked gear...........

message from greys they have more in stock and want to pay good money for your old DSLR

Sadly both their used D3s's have sold. :(

Am I imagining this or did a truck full of camera gear get nicked a few months ago maybe even a year?
Im sure I remember reading it. If I remember rightly it was a shipment of Nikon gear.

I've started replying to these obviously fake ads and having really time consuming emails, its brilliant, I forget what his scam was as there was a 300mm f4 and a 400mm f4.

I think its something along the lines of ooh change of job so I'm now based in Glasgow, its hilarious and so poor, I might offer to meet up in Glasgow as I want to see what they say.

Nick.

George, will be interested in what they have to say!

Surely A D3s would never be an 'unwanted' gift. If you hated photography you would get to like it and if you already had one you would have a back-up. Plus who spends £3k on a gift if they are unsure if the recipent would like one :P

Very fishy :P

Go for it ;) That'll keep them on their toes :P

So I thought I would email out of curiosity as I am in London so I asked if I could view in order to buy it and he told me that he is having problems with his mobile and only way of communication is via the internet and that he needs payment first!
Talk about SCAM!! I feel sorry for the person who buys this and loses out £990 possibly
