Looking at purchasing this camera. I am a bit of an amateur, only want to take photos for my personal uses (mainly of my horses and dogs). My main priority is the fast shooting mode (5fps on this camera) can anyone tell me if this is fast enough?
Saw a deal on Jessops including camera, 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR II lens & tamron 70-300mm lens for the price of £369.
Sounds like a good deal to me but can someone explain the lenses to me please, I have used dlsrs before (but only the basic functions) but never used lenses. I mainly want the fast shooting, high mp and a decent zoom. Many thanks

Go for it! Great sensor in body and tamron zoom is sharp!

Only thing I struggled with is buttons...... Not enough instead of having to go through menus to change settings!

But that's all

the camera has one of the best sensors on a crop camera and if you can live with less buttons etc then you cant go wrong

That Tamron hasn't got vibration control I believe and personally I would avoid it.

Iv got this as my first dslr and love it. You can change iso, aperture and shutter speed without going through the menus easily, and I have taken some great pics with it.
