Hello all, I hope ive got this in the right sub-forum to get the help i need.
Im a basic user of a D3000 - trying my hardest to learn, however its taking me a while! :bonk:
I usually shoot landscapes (day and night) and cars (both car shows and track days).
As said, Ive got a Nikon D3000 and I did have a genearl use lens with it.
(this one - Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S VR)
However, at a recent track day event I went to swap my lens for a bigger one I have as we were located further from the track etc... and I dropped my lens :|:bang:
Smashed the lens filter and I thought id got away with it, but its done some internal damage, boo!
Anyways, I found the lens at Park Cameras reduced to £80 !! Excellent.

But my question is this.
Instead of buying the linked lens, is there another I could look at buying which would be an upgrade on that lens?
Is there one that would suit my chosen subjects more and be more useful in terms of becoming more advanced?
Or is that linked lens a good all rounder for someone developing their skills?
If so, what sort of lens should I be aiming towards once more developed?
Many thanks for any help. Hope that all makes sense.
Marc
