Nikon D3000 Digital SLR Camera (18-55 mm VR Lens Kit) £334.82

Hello,

I hope you can help me. I am considering buying the Nikon D3000 Digital SLR Camera (18-55 mm VR Lens Kit). However, I am not sure whether this is the right camera for me.
I've never had anything near professional camera, but would like to start learning (as a hobby) and take nice pictures. Could you advise if this is a good starting camera, easy to learn and serve the purposes of just producing higher quality pictures? If not, could you reccommend a model and brand? Many thanks!!

Ha ha, this thread is over a year old but still...

Any DSLR has the potential to deliver outstanding pictures BUT it relies on the photographer to get it right, as often as not people buy a DSLR and use it like they would a compact camera and are disappointed with the results.

So, to answer your question the D3000 is a decent enough camera and will serve you well as long as you are willing to learn how to use it properly.
