I have managed to get hold of a lovely brand spanking new nikon d300, only got it yesterday and really looking forward to getting out with it at the weekend. I wasn't looking to spend any real cash with the current financial climate, but got an absolute steal at £650 :D:D
Heres hoping for some decent weather at the weekend !!

How did you manage to get one at the price then deano? Is it a secret? lol hoping to save up for some gear in the new gear, D300 is top of my list! followed swiftly by a 2.8 zoom lens.
 
Definately got it in my hands, it was from ebay, The guy listing it forgot to put a space in the title nikond300 so it got mised when searching, I accidently did the same and found just the 1 listing. Any way its mine now, boxed with no shutter actuations and a receipt from jessops dated may 08 (£1099) mine was the only bid, so I got very lucky indeed !!:thumbs:
 
Ahhh....it's not actually new then. That explains the price. Looks like you won a watch with that one then :thumbs:

Not at all...but it's only really new if you buy it from a Nikon dealer, like Jessops. You're the second owner, you'll also need to be the other guy if you need to make a warranty claim as you'll need proof of original purchase.....

I am :lol: If I didn't have one I'd have bought it myself. He's got himself a cracking deal, if he's got the original Jessops receipt then he's got the 2 year warranty as well,if the first owner registered it :)
 
Well done mate, i think there is actually a website that looks for misspelling on ebay.


Just off to look for NikonD700 :lol:

Jessops told me it doesn't matter if it isnt the original owner that makes a claim as long as it you have the original purchase documents it should be fine

I stand corrected, but I'd rather hear that from Nikon than Jessops, they're not renowned for accurate advice ;)

True. I've had a claim on a lens in the past. The original owner just sent me a copy of the receipt via email.
Nikon accepted it no probs. ;)
