Nikon D300 problem

Picked up a very nice used D300 in the week as a second to my other D300

Ensured that all settings were the same as my original and headed out into the Forest of Dean yesterday.

I used a combination of three different lenses yesterday (18-50, 70-200, 80-400)

I was surprised to find that the majority of my shots were a little soft. I have rechecked all the settings and they are as usually used on my other body.

Anyone have any ideas why this has occurred.

Maybe worth trying some back to back shots on a tripod with both cameras to see if the AF is out on your new one. You may be able to do a blanket AF fine tune to sort it if that is the problem.

I tried that a little earlier and there seems to be little or no difference between either camera. I've tried altering the AF fine tune but I'm not sure that it is making a great deal of difference:bat:

Hmmm, seems odd. You'd think it would appear soft under 'lab' conditions too. Do you have any exif data?
