Yes
Just picked my D300 up today, yet to do anything serious with it, but i just shot this 5 minutes ago on iso 3200, and cant beleive how little noise there is.

Excuse the blown side of the face due to the sun coming through the window.

Yep, they are a decent bit of kit.........

In its category, it's winning every competitive test I am reading at the moment. Good choice.

Which camera did you have before.. because previous Nikons were known for being very noisy so you will notice the difference bigtime.

Canon's of course have always been better on noise!! ;) :D

i had a D200, and a D50 before that.

That's amazing Monkey

My D2Xs looks sh*te at anything over 800, and even then the exposure has to be spot on - looks like a new 2nd body in the offing

DD

My D200 was the same over 800, makes sense as its a mini D2x.

I remember discussing this with you at the studio the other week, it certainly is the tool for low light wedding work. unless you can afford a D3 and shoot at 6400!!

Can you please keep the "ooh how uuber is the D300" threads to a minimum until i've sold my 40D and have enough cash to get a D300 please, you'll put off any buyers :P
