Nikon D300 & D700 Qual/ISO/WB Button????

Just wondering, is there any way that the external Qual/ISO & WB Button on top left hand corner of camera can be locked? I am regularly pressing these buttons, unaware when shooting and the WB is changing to all sorts of settings!. I also had a nightmare halfway through a shoot recently when my RAW settings changed to JPG small/medium size files! aagh, Its really starting to panic me when I shoot now. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem or perhaps anyone can make suggestions? Many thanks.

I've been using a D300 for about 18 months and I've never accidentally changed any of the settings of those buttons. Rather than seeing how you can lock the buttons (which I doubt you can do) I'd look at altering your shooting style.

Lol, thanks for sharing those pics Rob. Holding the camera correctly is something I have been practicing lately (due to the accidental changes with these button). Mental note to practice more. ;-))

Are you left-handed, Jennifer, and is that the reason you hold the camera body with your left hand? I think most people cradle the lens in their left hand, and can then zoom easily without changing hand position.

lol... never thought this would happen to someone~~ i dont think theres any way to lock it.... not any setting for that,... so just change the way you hold it
for me. the body plus the lens are always too heavy,. i can only hold the lens with my left hand to support it
