Nikon D300 £787.23 (slight catch)

I’ve just booked my flight

its worth phoning ahead.

Beware they are very persistent and will try to sell you a CF card and a bag (stupid Dixons mark-up), so phone ahead and say you'll "think about" the CF and bag, and they should reserve the D300 OK :)

(at least this is my experience with Gatwick, other airports may be different!)

 damn, they have dropped it £20 since I bought mine at Stansted. yes, they are persistent, but with me it wasn't so much cards etc, they knew they stood no chance as I had kit bag with me with everything in it, oh no, they collared HIM and tried to persuade him he should buy me a D700!! :D

i was looking at these alot but my mind is swaying now lol

may still go on a trip to to Dublin though as its only £30 return for two of us , still a saving for anyone who wants to go on a day trip

I phoned up to book a D300 when my flight was confirmed. The guy who took the order was very helpful and completed the transaction when I got to the shop last Saturday. No hard sell, just pleasant conversation. He did say it cost them about £6 to sell it to me due to the airport taking a cut and other charges and that the stock of D300s was going to be moved to Gatwick.

The D300 dropped from £808 to £787.23 the week before I got mine. :-) Just a pity it has rained constantly since I got it.
