is there a clever way of checking past prices on ebay?

oh and out of morbid curiosity what affect would shutter actuations have on the price as i'm presuming most people are looking to buy one in the 3-10000 range which is surely going to get harder as time goes on?

is the D3 a big step up from a d700??

Same sensor, so same high-ISO performance and image-quality. Better balanced, better weather sealing, and the killer feature of the D3 for wedding photographer: the ability to write every photo to two CF cards simultaneously.

Didn't realise the D2xs had a pop up flash!

the d2xs has the same feel as a d3 , the d700 has the flash

Used D3 prices are now falling at a higher rate, the current mean ebay price for the 9 used UK D3’s without accessories that were actually auctioned is £1,952 with the lowest priced one selling for £1,750.
