Nikon D2X err. repair cost?

Im currently looking at a D2x thats spares or repair. Shoots fine at low shutter speeds but showing err at higher speeds. Im guessing its the shutter on its way out?

What sort of repair cost would I be looking at and what would be a reasonable price to pay with no battery or charger?

Give Johnsons Photopia a call Monday and they might be able to help with info. No idea regarding what to pay for it as it is I'm afraid.
 
Im thinking that with a new shutter and buying the bits it doesn't come with its not worth any more than £150. Probs just save some cash and pick up a D200 or if a D300 comes up at a good price.
 
Sounds more likely to be the mirror box (which despite the name basically controls aperture).

New shutter is about 300. Mirror box roughly 400. Though if you need both it may be as little as 500 since you'll save some strip and build and rubber costs.

Not worth considering then. Can get working ones for 450
