Yes
Monrnin all.
Apparently, my D200 has a focus tracking feature.
It's supposed to lock on to the subject, and keep it focused, even if it moves around the frame.
Dave Kiddle's D300 does it, and according to uncle Ken's manual, the D200 does it.
But mine doesn't!!

Got it set up how Ken says, but it's not happening.

Any ideas?

TIA, Andy

its more of a marketing feature on the D200 rather than a useful one.

If you are very lucky if you move a pencil infront of the camera it might track it around if the wind is in the right direction, and there is a red moon in the sky, but chances are it won't work.

Try Dynamic and AF-C focus mode.

Cheers mate.
Got it on dynamic and AF-C, just tried the pencil trick and NOTHING :D

Wouldn't this feature be good for say wildlife shots, if it worked?

Rather than dynamic try selecting just the centre point and try it...
