Looking to get back into photography, however not 100% sure what to go for

My budget is £300 for camera and a lens, had nikons in the past.

I would mainly be using it for taking wildlife pictures / landscapes / my Dogs so needs to be fastish so i can freeze the shot of them coming out of water and shaking etc.

Would this setup work okay or any other suggestions?

look in classified ads on here. A D5100 for £175 and come good cheap lenses. I have a D5100 and like it. Its not the best but for your budget could be hard to beat. Look for a tamron 18-270 or Nikon 18-300 lens although this maybe a squeeze to get the whole kit for £300 but those lenses a good compromises.

personally id avoid the tamron superzoom mentioned above like the plague. It's the softest lens I have ever used. I think a D200 is a good option, and would probably go with something like an 18-105.
