Yes
The link doesn't work on my laptop so I can't see a price, but in 2 days you could read the manual, get to grips with P, A & S mode, take hundreds of test shots, check the exif data on the blurry/dark/etc ones, record & change settings, go back out et al. Then take the cost of the course & buy a training DVD, some spare batteries & a remote (or anything else that takes your fancy). If you learn the very basics of how any camera works most other things fall into place fairly quickly. Just my humble opinion of course. Plenty of 200 users here for advice - maybe someone local you could spend a few hours with maybe? Good luck - it's a fabulous piece of kit.

Thanks for that Phil - I take it you wouldn't waste your money then!

Link now hopefuly fixed.

Blimey - £200?!?! You could buy a nice SB800 from Kerso for that. Money better invested in my humble opinion...!!!

The best thing to probably is, if you come up against a shooting situation you are not sure of, ask someone on the forums.
I have found help from others invaluable.

BTW: I owned a D200 for about a year so, if there's anything I can help you with? fire away!

hmmm...first post and advising already.

But have you put aside two full days to play with your camera? It might be wise spending two whole days messing around (full days!), and see how you get on. I think you will be surprised how much you might teach yourself fooling around.

I tend to agree, you might also want to look at some of the dedicated Nikon forums which can be a great source of information.

PM me for details if you want them, I think it would be bad form to post them on here.

Thanks for your input guys - I think I'll forget that idea.

Geoff
