I have a Nikon d100 it takes great pictures and I would not dream of getting rid of it because my oldest son gave it to me. Just recently the shutter speed has slowed way down. Even when in manual and set to the fastest shutter speed it is still slow. Any ideas I'm thinking I will have to put it in the shop I just thought I would check here first thanks for any reply

Sounds like the shutter mechanism might be the way out. I would imagine it wouldn't be very economical to get repaired.

Firstly, welcome to TP :)

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your D100. Is it a case that the shutter has slowed or there is a delay before the shutter operates? If it's the latter then check in the menu to see if shutter delay is set to on?

If the D100 is die'ing and you like it. Just buy another 100quid will get you a nice condition one :)
