Nikon D 40

Still really pleased with the D 40, my first digital SLR , and I
am gradually learning to use its many functions. I've just found out how to use the remote control, for instance ! It is so rewarding. I don't know if any of you know of Helen Allingham's paintings? Long dead now, she painted lovely pictures of old country cottages often around Witley in Surrey. I've recently been photographing some of these
from a book of her paintings and making them into greetings cards for relatives. Works well, hope I'm not infringing any copyright rules? Certainly not profiting from it. Mick.

Helen Allingham died in 1926, so the copyright owned by her estate would've expired in 1976 under current legislation. Copyright of the typographical arrangement of the publication you've copied from runs for 25 years. Maybe that extends to their scan or photo of the paintings? In case you can't tell, I'm not a lawyer.
