Can someone point me in the right direction for a set of extension tubes taht will retain autofocus, and auto exposure on a D60 and D90?

Descriptions on the ones I have found dont seem to be specific enough......

Thank you, seems that they do not autofocus with AFS lenses :(, but then for macro I would have thought manual focussing was the preffered method anyway?

Thanks Puddleduck, I think this underlines why I am confused, their website says:

Please Note;

1. When using extension tubes the lens will not focus to infinity. The focus range will be greatly limited to a very close focusing distance.
2. There is light fall off when using any extension tube, sometimes the equivalent of 3 f-stops of light is lost when using multiple extension tubes together. This light lost can affect the camera's ability to auto focus. Manual focusing is recommended should the lens begin to "hunt" (not lock onto the subject).
3. Nikon "D" information is not transmitted because the lens is focusing closer than its programmed to focus.
4. Kenko Auto Extension Tubes are not auto focus compatible with Nikon AF-s (Silent Wave) lenses, manual focusing is required with these lenses."

The Kenko tubes are wonderful. Not only do they autofocus but you also get metering, too! Of course, this applies to the Nikon lenses I've tried .. including AF-S lenses.

What do not autofocus and will not meter are the Nikon tubes :shrug:. I don't know why Nikon makes them as such, especially since there are no optical or electronic elements to move about, but that's Nikon :annoyed:. That said, the Nikon tubes are built like a tank. I am sure they've been tested to withstand a nuclear attack.

Thanks guys, looks like the mechanical link for AF is there so they will AF with AF Lenses(!) as well - Just what I am looking for and thanks for the link Puddleduck.

Its sad when even the manufacturers get their own specs wrong!!!
