I'm afraid it's another one of those, albeit with a different twist...
I'm going to be doing a photography job in July, stills and video. Last year, I used my D5000 for both, and it was pretty good. However this year, it's going to be more official, so I naturally want to do it better.
Thing is, jumping for a D7000 or D5100 (video is important and hi iso capability) is a heck of a lot of dosh. I was thinking, get a NEX 5 which has the cracking video, and quality hi iso (similar sensor to the Nijinsky) and get an adapter to use my current Nikon lens. A lot cheaper, and I'll have another little camera for days out etc.
So I'll end up with
Nikon D5000, Sony NEX 5, Nikon 18-105 (TBB), 85 1.8, 50 mm/35 mm (one or the other, again tbb) 70-300 VR. Plus a dedicated lens for the NEX - not sure if the 18-55 or 16 mm...
Does this sound like a feasible plan?
