can i use the D700 batteries in the D70? the difference in the model numbers seems to be an e on the end, but third party battery sellers say theres fit both, seeing as i have a D70 coming i was just wondering if i can use the same battery and charger

If I remember rightly the d70 batteries the same as the d200/300? sadly I haven't one here to check. Wayne

Yes you can use the D700 batteries (EN-EL3e) in the D70 (EN-EL3 or EN-EL3a), but not the other way around.

I've got a spare aftermarket EN-EL3e about somewhere, it's a slightly older one that works in the D70, but not the D300 or D700.
