The postman brought me an A4 envelope today, so im wondering whats this.

Opened it up, and its aload of info on the D700 in a sort of shiny black wallet.

Looks absolutely superb, but i feel i should pay off the D300 before think about the change to FX.
 
I got that this morning as well:)
 
is it because i registered my D300 with them.... is it an attempt to get all D300 owners on FX bodies?
 
oh god i may have one then when i get home, im fighting the urge to buy one atm, i am trying to hold out till next year but i think i may fail, ultimately i want to keep my D300 but don't think i can justify not recouping the money on it, mind you the D300 would suit the 18-200mm lens better than the DX mode on the D700 reducing it to 5mp, and also it would benefit my 80-400mm cropping the image to a simulated 600mm, hmmm decisions decisions
 
So who wants to sell me their D300 then:D
 
It appears there could be a plethora of D300`s for sale shortly.............:D
 
The D700 is so much nicer than the D300 is not funny!

i see you are a D300 fan and owner. I posted on 'Talk photography' section an item about 3D tracking. You will see it under the heading '3D TRACKING' Can you give me any advice? Tried it on birds in flight yesterday with limited success and not sure if using correctly:help::bang::bonk:

Have you enabled the focus point display in the viewfinder? With that on you can see what its doing... sometimes it works... sometimes it goes bonkers!
 
they're just running scared of the mighty 5d mk.II I reckon :lol:

First thing I was told by the wife when I opened mine was "you're not having one!" :lol:
 
Why did I not get one...??!! I registered yonks ago!
 
I weakend, had a nice shiny gold box turn up today :D, i cant wait to test the ISO against the D300, be interested to see if it really is as good as people say

don't be shy gents if your looking to off load your D300 to pay for your lovely new D700 i would gladly assit you with a wadge of cash

I think Nikon UK figure out what you have and send you bumpf on the next model up!

I keep getting D3 crap - ie magazine review re-prints etc.

I guess they knew from my online Profile I had a D700 registered?
