Nikon - Anyone Used this camera

Hi All, I am new to this photography thing so I need some help. I recently purchases a Nikon camera from Argos and I'd like to use it on my holiday to take some amazing shots.. has anyone had any experience with this brand? Is it really good?

Any tips would be much appreciated.

I use a Nikon as do a large percentage of the users on here but without knowing which model and what you are shooting/how they will be used, we cannot advise you.
 
Give some details on the camera and people will be able to tell you how to get the best results from that particular camera.

Really, would be interested to know the numbers would have thought pretty much even split between the canikons with the others a long way behind.

Btw the OP seems a bit suspect. Apologies if I am wrong.

Of course I love my D300s to death, but I can't see any bad cameraes really, just different tasts and functions.
 
Yes. Yes (as are Canons, Pentaxes and other brands)

Tips? Trawl through all posts on these forums and absorb all the helpful hints offered to other newbies.

He said a large percentage, not a majority.
I suspect a large percentage use Canons too.:)

I reckon the OP is a bit dubious as well...

A camera is only as good as the photographer ;). We will need to know the model of your camera - whether that is a DSLR, compact or even a bridge before we can really help.

Have a look on YouTube as well, they have some really good photography videos that can really help you to get started.

The Nikon D3100 is a really good camera for beginners with excellent help built in, read the manual and play with the camera to get a feel for it, try different settings and see what happens, if all this fails buy a compact(just joking). Welcome to the club, if you get hooked say goodbye to all your spare cash.
