I have a Nikon D3100 DLSR camera with a Sigma 18-200 zoom lens. I am looking to purchase another lens so I can get closer to wildlife, cars etc . I have seen the one above, does anyone have any comments or advice on this one or another that may be a better option.? Will I get better results with moving up just the 100mm.?
Your thoughts and help would be appreciated.
 
I've actually tried the 55-300 and while image quality seemed ok I was not impressed by the AF speed.

For not much more money you are into 70-300 VR territory or even a Tamron 70-300 VC
