Ok ive got a D700 and a couple of nikon af-d lenses, the 50mm and 105mm macro. Both work fine, you stop them down to the smallest aperture and lock them and the camera can then control the aperture. Fine.
Now ive got 2 sigma lenses, that i dont know if are broken or not! they are both 28-200 d one a 3.8-5.6 and the other 3.5-5.6 both with an aperture ring. However stopping them both down and locking them gives me an FEE error on the camera. It cant control the aperture. Now was i just unlucky to get 2 broken lenses or cant the D700 control sigma lens apertures like it can with its own nikon lenses?
