Nikon 70-300mm vr vs Tamron 70-300mm vc

Oh I didn't calculate cash back, was just looking at amazon which had the tamron for £349 which is for a third party manufacturer way too close to the Nikon price, should be at least £100 less if not more in my opinion. Especially as you'll be loosing a lot of money come resale.

Nikon seems to have gotten more expensive, in may this year I paid £339 for mine I think...
 
Well if they perform as well as each other then I see no reason in them being similarly priced.
 
I've tried out the Tamron and the Nikon.

Usually I much prefer Nikon's lenses, but in this case the speed, sharpness and vibration reduction (vibration control) seemed much better on the Tamron lens.

I still prefer the feel and build of the Nikon 70-300mm VR, but if I were personally buying either of these lens I would definitely go for the Tamron.

Amazing price point right now as well.
