Ok

I ended up in a Hide at a nature reserve yesterday, never done it before and wildlife has never really interested me. However, I was sat there and the longest lens i had was the 18-105 kit lens for my D90.

Very frustrating indeed.

I have been mulling over buying this lens for some time and I think yesterday swung it for me.

Question is, do I buy it from HK import or from cameranu.nl for £303 quid+P&P for about 20 quid

They say its a european warranty that comes with it. However Amazon are doing it for 360 ish.

I beleive Kerso may be able to do me a good price but I'm not sure how to contact him. Any pointers? Oh and is the lens as good as it seems for the price. Is the softness between 200 & 300 that noticeable?

Thanks for all you help in advance

You can PM Kerso on here but he doesn't have a lot of Nikon Stuff. Best thing is to have a look in the classifieds there are normal some for sale there. I would rather buy 2nd hand from someone with a good track record on this site than from abroad tbh.
Also MPB photographic often have minty ones in at a good price.

Cracking lens and it is what I use for my wildlife stuff. It will take the Kenko 1.4x tc but you need good light to make the best of it. Have a look at my flickr and almost all of the birds were taken with this lens.

I would personally buy from a UK based supplier as although it has an international warranty you will probably have to deal through the supplier.

Have a look in the for sale section on here as I think there are a couple in there. You can buy through there without the 100 posts just not sell

HTH
