nikon 70-300 lens

i was going to order a 70-300 lens tonight, but looking on amazon there are a few at different prices that seem more or less the same to me

the lens is for a nikon d40 and here are the 3 lenses:

Ok, ignore the last one. It's an older cheaper version and will not AF on your body.

The first two are the same, and are the one you need. They seem to have separate listings as they have different sellers.

Must admit I would like a VR version of my 70-300mm lens.

Tamron AF28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XRDi LD is one i just bought, No VR system but i really like it, looks nice a nd sharp, softens a little bit at 300.

some nice reviews for it online and its light and functional ansdwas in my price range and i got it dirt cheap brand new (33% of the rate in most places)
