Don't forget to take your tin hat downstairs with you and also kiss it goodnight every night and tuck it in :D

Still feeling slightly sick, don't know whether it's spending over a grand on glass or anticipation :lol:

Its buyers remorse. Ignore it. Its a bad thing.......

Very nice lens, I sort of regret selling mine early this year

Oh.. and ignore all the mentalists who shoot landscapes wide open at 200mm then moan about the corners when blown up to 400%.

Its a fab lens.

As soon as it comes, you`ll forget about the cost. Its a superb lens, makes me smile everytime i use it, and it looks the business..... :love:

I've mulled over the idea of buying a 70-200 VR for some time, and ignoring my absolute lack of cash to buy one, I'm unsure whether it'd be of benefit to me. I have the old push-pull 80-200 f2.8 AF-D which is a fine lens. I don't really do sport, although I do a bit of skate/bmx tography on occasions but that's all mostly close up stuff. The 80-200 is nice and sharp and has lovely bokeh.

I've probably just answered my own question there but is the 70-200 a significantly better lens than the 80-200 (current version or my version?) image quality-wise, specifically?

I have similar feeling too ... i just got a D3 and after only a week am thinking have i overspent ..! .. its quality is unquestionable but 2.5k for a camera body .. ive never ever spent that much on a camera in my life .. GULP !

should i keep it or should i sell it ... ? ? :nuts::cuckoo: :gag:

Honestly...can you afford the camera, or did you put it on credit? I love toys, but you have to pay for them up front, not with credit and endless interest. You probably can't get your money out of it anyhow, so keep it and enjoy it. LOL

Well personally, I think you should exchange it for my D300. I will also throw in a couple of lenses, a backpack and a £25 postal order.
Your feeling of guilt will be transferred to me, but, then that would be my problem

i remember my first moments with mine, i was thinking blumin' hell that's heavy and god it's long.... gulp, but that lasted about 10 seconds

wait until you do some fast focusing in dull light, and when you get home most are nice and sharp ;) lovely feeling that one :D
